Great event! Everyone had a great time at my table, and I saw more than a few misty eyes during the performances.

"Every year we get to celebrate the women of Yolo County and their numerous achievements.  I love attending these luncheons to hear about the women who are making positive change in our county and who continue to be role models for all of us."

Annual Celebration

We are excited to announce the national theme for 2024 Women's History Month is "Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion."

The theme recognizes women throughout the country who understand that for a positive future, we need to eliminate bias and discrimination entirely from our lives and institutions.  Women from every background have long experienced an uneven playing field that will never bring equality or justice.

Women's History Month is traditionally celebrated annually in March.  The date/time and location for the 2024 celebration will be announced soon.

Gloria M. A few of the stories are from individuals who actually were born in Spain and immigrated to the United States; many of the stories are from individuals whose parents were the immigrants; and the remaining are from those whose grandparents and great-grandparents left their homes in search of a better life for their families.  They found that better life in Winters.
