"We really enjoyed the stage program when some local women dressed up as historic Yolo County women. I remember Margy Yutzy as Margaret McDowell. I think having a connection to the historic women from all parts of the county is important."

"I thought that this year was the best so far, and I have been coming for at least ten years, or maybe longer. Everything was very well organized. The food was excellent. The speech was excellent and timely. My friends who came with me also enjoyed the event immensely. Keep doing what all of you on the committee are doing!"

Women's History

During the month of March, we give a little extra attention to all of the amazing accomplishments of strong, determined women. Since 1987, the United States has formally recognized March as National Women's History Month. Every woman has a story to tell and gifts to share with the world. So get ready, because this month is about honoring magnificent ladies, and we are ready to celebrate it to the fullest.

Since many of the women's suffrage centennial celebrations originally scheduled for 2020 were curtailed, the National Women's History Alliance is extending the annual theme for 2021 to "Valiant Women of the Vote: Refusing to Be Silenced."
